Rush Alpha Kappa Psi



Prospective Members,

Thank you for your interest in our organization. We are excited to welcome you to the 2022 Spring Rush of the Omicron Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. We are a group of driven individuals who strive to better ourselves professionally and personally as well as help our brothers grow and succeed along the way.

Our Rush week will be held from January 31st - February 5th, 2022. For more information on the rush week schedule please reference the "Rush Syllabus" linked at the top of the page.

For a brief overview of the requirements to be extended a bid we require that you complete the following:

  1. Complete an online application.

  2. Obtain 10 of 23 points offered during rush week.

  3. Attend mandatory Interview Night on Thursday, February 3rd at 6pm.

  4. Attend pledge meetings at 7pm on Wednesday evenings throughout the entirety of the semester.

  5. Become an active member for 1 complete semester. At this time you must be graduating no sooner than December 2022 to be eligible for a bid in the Spring of 2022.

This event is meant to introduce you to our chapter, core values, events, and member requirements. We will begin by presenting information about rush, our organization, and the entirety of the pledge process. There will also be time to answer any questions you may have.


Following this event we will have an opportunity to network with our active brothers. You will be able to hear more about individual experiences and ask any further questions you may have about the organization. Networking will last approximately 30 minutes following this event. The brothers encourage you to stay and chat.

This semester, AKPsi will graciously host _______, a business professional, to speak on his experiences, career knowledge, and other advice he has to offer college students on succeeding in the business world. Following this presentation there will be time for questions for our guest speaker. Network, keep in touch, and ask smart questions to advance your professional knowledge.

Interview Night

Thursday, February 3rd

6 PM

Gatton College of B&E

This event allows us to get to know you as an individual. You will complete two rounds of interviews with a panel of 4-5 brothers. These questions will ask you to reflect on your past expereines, viewing yourself as an asset to our chapter, but will generally be casual in nature. Please treat this event with the respect of a traditional interview. 


Dress: Smart Casual.

Men may wear a nice polo, sweater, and/or button-down with no tie, khakis, or jeans.

Women may wear dresses of appropriate length or a nice shirt or pants.

As mentioned before, we understand you may not have these items so we just ask for your best efforts in meeting this request.


Saturday, February 5th

This will be a casual night to better get to know the active brothers and enjoy a games, food, and experiences together.
